What is AILUROS?

What is whisker fatigue, and how does The Dining Set help?

Whisker fatigue happens when a bowl's sides press against a cat's whiskers while eating. Whiskers are dense with sensitive nerve endings, so repeated contact can cause real stress at mealtime. Every piece in the set has a wide, shallow surface that keeps the whiskers clear.

What makes The Dining Set different from what I'm currently using?

Most bowls are narrow, sit flat on the floor, and are made from porous plastic that can harbor bacteria and contribute to cat acne. The Dining Set is wide to protect the whisker, raised to support a natural eating posture, and made from non-porous ceramic that resists bacteria for an acne-free chin.

Can I use it for wet and dry food?

Yes. The Bowl works well for dry food or wet food, and even water. The Round Plate and Flat Plate are best suited for wet food or a mid-day treat, since their shallower depth isn't meant to hold dry kibble in volume.

Is it suitable for kittens or senior cats?

Yes. The wide, shallow surfaces and raised eating height work well for cats at any life stage, including kittens still developing their whisker sensitivity and senior cats managing joint or neck strain.

Do I need to buy the full set, or can I start with one piece?

Either works. The Bowl functions on its own for food and water, and each plate can be added later to build out the full setup.
